Christmas morning!

Santa delivered on Christmas morning.  We went as a family, a couple weeks back, to the mall to see Santa.  I was so shocked that Roman plopped right on his lap and told him that he wanted animals for Christmas.  Later he would tell everyone that Santa was going to come to Meema's house and bring him animals.  Sure enough, Santa brought little farm animals and a backpack to put them in.  It was a fun Christmas morning with just my mom, me, and the kids even though we missed Matt so much!  We hurried after opening gifts and breakfast to hit the road for Tulsa.

Let's try again

uh oh!

Daddy got to watch the kids open their gifts via FaceTime.  Thank goodness for technology!

A back pack!

Carmen got a backpack too!

Meema and her grandchildren

He loved the backpack so much after he realized that he could put all his little animals in there and take them everywhere!

That backpack stayed on all through breakfast!

Christmas Eve

We spent the week before Christmas in Missouri at my mom's house while Matt had to fly.  We had a great time with Meema!

We opened gifts with my brother and his family on the morning of Christmas Eve.  We all had a big breakfast and then gift time.  We attempted many times to get a picture of all the cousins together.

Miss piggy even loves to eat paper!

We got the girls matching dresses.  We attempted pics so many times!

It was a great day!  The kids all took naps and then we met back up at my mom's church for a Christmas Eve service.  It was adventurous with no childcare available.  Roman loved listening to the music but had a hard time sitting still.  We had a great time with Meema, Andy, Elizabeth, Caroline, and Catherine!

Tulsa

We drove to Tulsa on December 20th.  Matt had the day off so he drove the kids and me there.  We spent the evening at his parent's house with Mark, Whitney, and the triplets.  They had a blast together!  I woke up and drove the Missouri the next day.  Matt had to leave on a 6:30 am flight the next morning.  He flew until December 26th!  We missed daddy!!

Our little family Christmas

Matt had the entire beginning of the month of December off. It was fabulous! Except he had to work most of the 2nd half, which includes Christmas! We sucked it up and realized that he's fortunate to be with Delta and it won't be like this in the future. We decided to celebrate our family Christmas on the morning of December 16th. We woke up and the kids opened their gifts. We had a big yummy breakfast of bacon and eggs. A splurge for Matt and his high cholesterol! Ha!

Afterwards, we all drove to see Maximina, a lady we met through Three Trees at our church. She really wanted to fix us homemade Mexican food, so we went to her work at a local dry cleaners and brought her a Spanish bible with her name engraved and she gave us some yummy food. It was so great to see her so happy to introduce us to her boss. We had a great day!

Carmen is six months old!

Somebody please stop time! Carmen turned six months old on December 22nd. She's getting so big so fast! Make it stop!
Here are her stats:

Weight: 18 lbs 5-1/2 oz (92%)
Height: 26-1/2" (80%)
Head Circ: 17-1/2" (92%)

Carmen now sleeps 12 hours almost every night! She nurses around 7:45-8pm and then takes a 4 oz formula bottle. The whole family has been waking around 8am every morning. We love our sleep lately!

Carmen is pretty much on a good schedule now.
8 am - nurse
8:30 am - eat whole grain cereal
9:45 ish am - nap
11 am - nurse
12 pm - fruit for lunch
12:45 ish - nap
2 pm - nurse
3:30 nap
5 pm - nurse
6:30 pm - veggie and cereal for dinner
7 pm - bath with Roman
7:45 - nurse, bottle, and bed

Carmen is pretty much a happy baby. I love making her smile. She laughs a lot and loves watching Roman. She loves it when I'm holding her and we chase him.

She's sitting up by herself!

Carmen isn't crawling yet, but we're working more and more on tummy time

Carmen sleeps a lot on her tummy. We had a week there when she was getting frustrated and waking up because she couldn't figure out how to get back on her belly. Luckily she's figured it out!

Carmen snorts a lot! We still call her miss piggy because she's an eating and snorting machine!

We love you so much sweet girl!! You are such a blessing to our lives!
