Lindsey and Chloe visit!

When Lindsey said she was going to fly here, to be honest, I didn't believe her at first. Then she actually bought the tickets and I was pumped! We had the best time!  I'm so grateful that they carved out time to visit. I was also excited for Roman and Chloe to get to play together again. I didn't know how they would get along considering it had been a year since they had seen each other. They hit it off immediately in the car ride home. It was as if they hadn't skipped a beat. Chloe and Carmen were buddies too. It was so cute!

The trip started off with a bang. We ordered pizza and then played in the basement. The kids were jumping on the extra mattress for Chloe and next thing I know, Chloe is bleeding a ton from the back of her head. She had hit her head on the corner of the door hinge. It was a small, but deep cut. After a late night trip to the children's after hours emergency doctor, she came home with two staples in her head!

Saturday morning we headed to Dutch monkey for donuts. We enjoyed watching the donuts being made and then took the kids to the park. The weather was strangely cool in the 60's. Chloe kept saying she was cold. What a Texan!! Ha ha!

Sunday morning we took the kids to church and got there early enough to sit and drink our coffee and chit chat. It was greatness! After church we drove to meema's house for lunch.

Roman and Chloe had so much fun! I'm so glad they were able to come.  They almost missed their flight on Monday morning because the traffic was horrendous! Luckily all was well. It wouldn't be a trip to the Franks' without a little drama!

Carmen

She's such a silly girl! She won't sit still to watch tv usually, but today she did with the stroller on the couch.

I want to always remember how easy Carmen is right now. She might not be like this in a year or definitely as a teenager. Carmen has always been the best sleeper. She consistently naps two hours a day and sleeps from 8pm to 8 am. She is pretty go with the flow and plays so well by herself. Carmen does need to be disciplined a lot, but she gives in and sweetly says, "I'm sorry".  Carmen is so obsessed with her baby brother. She is actually a really good helper for a two year old. She sings to him and hugs him all the time.  She also lives to read to him. Hudson loves having her around too!

Carmen requested that I put baby on her lap and take a picture. Well yes ma'am!
We love our sweet girl!!!

Grocery

I attempted the grocery store with all three for the very first time finally. It's just so hard to do anything with Hudson because he screams all the time. I needed formula for his evening bottle, so I packed them all up and off we went. They all screamed and fought the whole way there and back, but everyone was good in the 10 minutes we were in the store surprisingly. So that's all that matters. I'm so outnumbered!!

Small group

Our church small group finally started back up the first week of August. We met at a park for dinner with all the kids. My mom watched Hudson back at home. We're missing Millie, one other little girl. But otherwise it's so neat to see all if our offspring together! I love this group so much! It's so fun to 'do life' with them weekly!

Uncle times

Matt's brother, Mike, called the other day and said he had an overnight in Atlanta. We also were having our friend Corey stay the night from Dallas. He had a business trip here and extended it a day. It was so fun to have the guys here. The kids love having company!

Roman and Carmen decided that even though Mike was tired, he needed to go to the beauty shop for a hair cut and makeup.

Out

Matt flies every weekend lately and it's been kind of tough. Our friends josh and holly asked us to meet them for dinner with 9 other couples one Saturday night. I wanted to go out so bad for an hour of adult talk. Luckily my mom came over and sat with the kids so I could meet our friends. It was so great! I wish Matt could have come:(

Three months

Our little guy turned three months old on August 9th. He's getting so big!

Hudson was sleeping 10-11 hrs at night and then quit this month!  We put him to bed anywhere between 7:30-8:30pm and he usually wakes around 4-5 for a feeding and then is back up around 7:30-8.
Hudson weighs probably around 16 lbs
He wears size 3 diaper, size 6 month and some 6-9 month clothes
He loves to laugh at mommy and watch his brother and sister. Carmen is always there to tickle him or give him a burp cloth if he spits up. So sweet!
Speaking of spit up. Hudson still has reflux pretty bad and spits all the time. He's on medicine still. Poor boy. You can tell he's in pain a lot.

We love you so much Hudson! Through all your tummy pain, you still smile so much and light up our lives!

Lately

The kids watch quite a bit of tv while Hudson is nursing. They look so peaceful here. Not the case. They were fighting 2 minutes later!

Hudson started laughing and smiling so much more since he turned 12 weeks old! He's so aware now!

We've been trying really hard to stay busy while Matt is flying right now all the time. He's gone most weekends so it's hard. We went to the Tucker's joint birthday party for Kate and Macy Brooks on Saturday morning, August 3rd. The kids had a great time.

Later that afternoon, Michelle May brought her two kids over to play and eat pizza while their daddy was away flying too. They had a great time!

We like to still dress up around here a lot too!

We've been going to church every singe Sunday morning and go to the gym at least four times a week. Hudson usually does good in the nursery and mommy gets s little rejuvenation!
