Tiffany and Lindsey!

When I first found out I had cancer, Tiff and Lindsey both said they would come here in a heartbeat, it was just finding the right time. We picked a perfect time. They came at the end cycle of my treatment when I was feeling my best and then went to my 4th chemo. It was so great to spend time with two of my very best friends. I feel so blessed. We took the kids to the park, went out to dinner on Saturday night, and then to church on Sunday. They got to experience all the terribleness of chemo on Monday, but it was awesome having them hold my hands.

Valentines Day

Valentines day was the first day in a couple of weeks that we actually spent just as a family. Matt and I took the kids to Whole Foods that afternoon and we stocked up on yummy lobster, steak, scallop, baked potatoes, and asparagus. The kids enjoyed the yummy dinner that night too. We had a family dance party and just enjoyed each other. When you have something like cancer thrown in your face, you tend to stop and just really relish all the beauty in this life. There is so much beauty and we have so much to be thankful for!

Snow again!!

I love winter and I love snow! Probably because we don't get much of either. It snowed again here and iced a lot. My mom ended upbstayingvwith us a couple of nights because we didn't want her to be stuck at her house. It was so fun! We built fires in the fireplace, went sledding down the golf course, and drank hot chocolate.  Chad and Charity had all the neighbors over the first night for pot luck and drinks. It was a blast! Thank you God for four distinct seasons this year!

Mike and Meg and chemo #3

Mike and Meg flew in town last weekend to help out for a week. I think they might have been a little shocked how crazy our house is. It was so wonderful to see them and have the babies meet. I haven't seen Meg since last March! Not acceptable!  We had a great time together. The kids all enjoyed each other. We went to our neighbor's Super Bowl party on Sunday night. It was fun to introduce our neighbors to our family.

Meg went with me to chemo on Monday morning. It was so great to have her there. She was such a big help and she's just a great friend. Mike and Meg helped us a ton. We were sad to see them leave, but know they'll be back soon.
This chemo was a rough go. The babies all had runny noses, so I inevitably got sick also. I went back for fluids on Tuesday and Thursday. I still had a fever off and on by Friday night. It's tough to fight cancer when you're sick also. God is still sovereign and I felt the many prayers of his saints. I can still say cancer sucks! God is WAY bigger than cancer!  I'm fighting through with his help!

Weekend with Helen, Kendi, and Anne

Kendi, Anne, and Helen came in town last weekend for a fun girls weekend. We went to the winery on Friday afternoon for a yummy lunch at Montaluce. We had lots of chill times with girl talk by the fireplace, girly movies, dinners at home, with lots of laughter and tears. It was exactly what I needed. I love having these college friends as such great friends for over 10 years. God is so good to provide these "forever friends".
