Meema's birthday!

We baked a cake for meema's birthday. It was pretty crazy, but the kids had a great time. We all enjoyed the cake the night before her birthday because Matt had to leave the next day. Sunday evening, we ordered pizza and are it on the patio with her. It was a great time!

 

 

 

 

11 wks

Hudson turned 11 weeks old today and he's been sleeping 10-1/2 to 11 hrs at night the past 5 nights in a row! Amazing! I feed him at 8pm and he wakes up anywhere between 6:30-7:30am!

Dad

Yesterday marked 10 years since my dad went to heaven. I replay the events of that day in my head all of the time. It was so hard. I miss him so much! I always think about what it would be like if he were still here. Would he and my mom have moved to Georgia? He would have been 82.  I know he would love to be around all his grandchildren. I love seeing his traits in them. I miss you dad!!

2 months

Hudson turned 2 months old on July 9th.  It's going so fast!  Here are his stats:

 

weight: 14lb 3oz (91%)

height: 25" (96%)

head circ: 17" (98%)

 

I think he's going to be a big boy!!  Probably because he eats all the time! 

Hudson is sleeping longer now. He drinks his last meal at 8pm and sleeps until usually around anywhere between 4-7am.  He has slept 11 hrs so far! After that he eats throughout the day every 2 to 2-1/2 hrs.

Hudson wears a size 2 diaper and size 3-6 month and 6 mo clothes. 

He still doesn't like a bottle. I feed him a 2 oz bottle of formula before bed every night and he takes it, but he's really hungry!

Hudson is smiling so much more now. It's so cute and exciting to make our baby boy smile!
 

He rolled over from back to belly the other day!

We love you sweet boy! You are the most perfect completion to our family!  Roman and Carmen love to give you love and attention all the time.  You love it!

Church

I did it! I somehow managed to round up all three kids, feed them French toast, nurse Hudson twice, and get everyone to church on time by 11am! Did I mention Matt was on a trip?! Hudson did good in his little class. He obviously wouldn't take his bottle (flashback from Carmen), so he screamed a lot of the way to Meema's afterwards. But it was all worth it! I felt so strange sitting there kid free getting to worship God without being rushed. It was a good day!

Roman tried to quiet Hudson on the way to meema's by offering the bottle. What a good big brother!

Soccer camp!

Roman attended the British soccer camp at our neighborhood a couple of weeks ago. He really didn't learn that much about soccer, but it was great to have him run around and get energy out! I had planned to drop him off all week, but we ended up staying and watching him every day. It was fun and brought so many thoughts of how our sports watching days are just around the corner!

Carmen was a trooper at watching her if brother. She kept giving him hugs during his water breaks.

1st time at the pool

We took all three kids to the pool yesterday for the first time. Hudson slept and nursed most of the time while the other two swam away. Carmen loves to jump in by herself and Roman is really starting to swim a lot without his floaties. Thank you swim lessons! We had a great time!

8 weeks

Since Hudson turned 8 weeks old, he's been sleeping so much longer. He just slept 9 hrs straight last night! I fed him around 8:30-9pm and went in to check on him at 6am! I wonder how much longer he would have slept! He's just still eating every 2 to 2-1/2hrs a day and not napping very long. I don't care! I slept 8 hrs straight!

4th of July

Matt had to go to training this 4th of July.  It was nice living in the city where his training was!  We all went to Meema's for a big breakfast and then Matt went to work.  It rained most of the day, so we painted inside and played indoors all day.  It was a nice relaxing day.

 

On Friday night, Matt decided to shoot some fireworks with the kids.  After I finished nursing Hudson and putting him to bed, I came outside to this!  Half of the street was outside in the rain watching fireworks.  It was so fun!

Carmen's 2nd birthday!

We celebrated Carmen's birthday by spending the day with family. Matt's parents came in town for the weekend to help celebrate. We had hamburgers on the deck and cake. She opened lots of gifts including a bounce house from us! The kids loved jumping together! It was a fabulous day!

We finally got the pictures from Hudson's newborn photo session.  We're in love!!  These were taken when he was exactly one week old.
