Sandy, the volunteer nurse, have me a little treat basket and the balloons. She has been there every step of the way. I truly believe God placed her in my path to hold my hand and pray for me at every chemo. She went through breast cancer just last year and now volunteers on Mondays. Wow. I only hope to be a light to people like her one day.

Last chemo
One of my best friends in atlanta, Lauren, took me to my last chemo. Matt's parents were already here from watching the kids over the weekend. Before we left for the doctor, I stopped and prayed out loud with the whole family. It was a surreal moment. Lauren is such a great friend. I was so glad to have her there with me. We got a surprise visit from my neighbors Daniella, Pam, Nancy, Jen, and Charity. They brought us lunch and cupcakes. It was like a little chemo picnic. I am truly blessed. There is nothing like good friends! Praise The Lord!!!! NO MO CHEMO!!!
Weekend in Dallas
I had the best time in Dallas the weekend before my last chemo. I stayed with Tiffany in her amazing new home in colleyville. Friday we went to lunch with Helen in snider plaza and then went shopping in Highland Park Village.
We ended the weekend with lunch at Fuzzy's tacos with Elizabeth Koehl. It was so great to see her and meet her twin boys.
Friday night we met up with Anne at Shinsei for some sushi. It was so yummy!
Saturday morning, I slept in and enjoyed a restful day at Tiff's house. By late afternoon the entire league was there. We enjoyed appetizers from Eatzies and they had wine. It was so fun to hang with the girls like old times.
There's nothing like good girl friends. We laughed together and had a blast! We even decided to crash this super nice outdoor wedding going on down the street. We saw fireworks and didn't want to miss out on the action. I drove past the security guards ready to use the cancer card. Once we were in the gates, we dared Tiffany to go in. Only problem was she had jeans on. No biggie, she just swapped with Kristin and put on her maternity leggings. This left Kristin without underwear or pants for a few minutes in the car. Tiffany gathered herself and calmly walked up and ordered a drink from the bartender. We were all dying laughing from the car. A 25 year old even hit on her. Who does this?! I felt like a teenager again! It's good to be crazy and enjoy life a little!
The next morning I spoke at the Heights. It was so surreal to be back at the church we used to attend every Sunday. It had been two years! Tiffany and Lindsey were there as awesome supporters while I spoke. I truly felt like Jesus spoke through me. It was amazing. The whole Subday school class prayed over me afterwards. I don't think there was a dry eye in the room.
What a wonderful weekend. I feel so incredibly blessed to have so many amazing best friends. Life is so beautiful!

Rise Up
Here's the link to my speech at the Height's Baptist church last Sunday on April 6th. It's pretty cool to know that I did something that God specifically called me to do. Enjoy!
