Delta

Matt started training with Delta on January 10th through the 21st. He was in Atlanta during this time going to class each day. Delta was generous enough to fly the wives/spouses of the new hires in town for a special dinner on Tuesday, January 18th. We were so fortunate to have Matt's parents fly in town to stay with Roman so I could go to Atlanta. The dinner was fabulous as suspected and the presentation was so great! Matt and I are ecstatic to be a part of the Delta family! They used the term 'family' often. The chief pilot of the entire company was there to give each new hire their Delta wings. It was a memory Matt and I will never forget! I am so proud of Matt! He has worked so hard for so many years and has finally made it! I can truly see how God has guided him through each step. We are so grateful!

Matt and I before we left for the dinner

At the dinner!
Bill and Pam took Roman to their favorite dive, Fishmongers, two nights in a row! They said he sat for them for 2 hours! Unbelievable!!!
Roman loved going to the park with Pa and Grandma! He seriously doesn't miss us a bit while we're gone because he's with his grandparents. We're so fortunate to have such great parents!

Steak

Matt has had the lucky privilege of being off work for almost 3 weeks! For his last family dinner before heading to Delta training, we grilled steak with baked potatoes. We figured that Roman couldn't chew the steak very well, so he ate an entire hamburger patty and homemade sweet potato fries. After finishing his meal, Roman headed to daddy's plate!
I think we have a little carnivore on our hands!!

Snow in Dallas

Sunday morning around 11 am, it started to snow! After church, lunch, and a good nap, we put on our boots, hats, and coats and headed out to play in the snow. Of course, Dabba came too!
I love snow!!!

Thanks Grandma for our Batman coat and boots! Roman would not take his boots off the rest of the day!

He was in love!!
Later, Roman grabbed my camera and kept saying cheese. I had to snap a photo of him!

Car time!

My husband is the most patient man I know! After getting home on Saturday afternoon from the park, Roman and daddy sat in the car for almost 30 minutes listening to music, dancing, turning lights on and off, and pretending to drive. Roman was in Heaven! His music of choice is definitely Country!

Dabba!

Please note in all Christmas pictures below that Dabba went every where we did! We even accidentally left Dabba behind at a restaurant and had to turn around to get it. Roman would not have been able to sleep without his metal measuring cup!!

Christmas in Springfield

We drove to Springfield on Monday after Christmas and stayed for a couple of nights. Roman, as usual, had a blast with Catherine and Caroline! Andy and Elizabeth brought the girls over for our family Christmas Monday night.
We got the girls personalized maps to go in their rooms

It's Roman's turn! Andy and Elizabeth got him Elmo and Barney DVDs! They saved us on the ride home to Dallas!
It's the Hokey Pokey Elmo!!!!
They loved dancing to Elmo!!
I got a gift card and Godly parenting book. As a parent, you can never have enough tools to help!
It's time for Meema to open her DVD player that Matt and I gave her!
Catherine and Roman loved playing together!
Of course, they both played with inside the box that the toys came in!
One of Roman's highlights in Missouri was riding on Meema's lap down the hallway!

Roman fell asleep on Meema's lap while we were trying to load up the car to leave town. It was such a sweet moment!
That wheelchair must be comfortable!

We love you Meema and miss you so much! Thanks for another wonderful Christmas!

Tulsa Christmas Part 2... Franks style

We usually always celebrate Christmas with Matt's immediate family the day after Christmas because everyone is so exhausted from the day before! We started a little earlier this year so it wouldn't last until almost midnight! We all went to Charleston's for a late lunch/early dinner around three and then the presents began!
Roman and the triplets had a BLAST playing 'Ring around the Rosie' and dancing...

Sweet William
Reagan and Roman slowly got swallowed away by presents!
I was even a present!
Look at all those packages! Pam goes crazy every year!

Gracie loved her new doll
Roman loved to read his new little books
As usual, the children love the boxes more than the presents!
Yes! More pots and pans for Matt!!
All the kids loved their new pillow pets. They pretended to go night night.
The play cameras were a hit for the triplets!

We got Bill and Pam a collection of family photos for their hallway. They loved them!
Someone was getting sleepy!
Reagan took a family picture of us!
Thanks Bill and Pam for another fabulous Christmas! We had such a great time together with family!
