Lunching...

Roman and I went to lunch last week with Helen and her sister-in-law, Amanda. Roman got to meet Amanda's little boy, Hudson. He was adorable and loved to touch "the baby". He better get used to it because little Hudson is going to have a sister pretty soon and a little boy cousin! Helen and Amanda are both pregnant!

Fishmongers!!

Matt's parents came in town last weekend and we took Roman for the first time to Fishmongers. This is a dive in Plano that his parents love and have been going to for forever! They seriously drive in town to go eat there with all of their friends! We had a great time and Roman fell asleep. We sat at our usual place in the bar area and had Greg, the bartender wait on us. He knows us by name! Yes, we had a baby in a bar! Ha Ha!!!

Daddy and Roman

Father's day was so great. I picked up Roman from his school on the Friday before and the teachers had dressed the kids up in little suits and took pictures of them. They taped them on a box with a "tie" cookie cake in it. Also, they put the kids foot and hand prints on a cut out of a tie. So cute!! Daddy loved it!! This was the first father's day that I've really enjoyed for a long time. I miss my dad so much, but now I can look at Matt and know that he is being such a good dad too. Bittersweet!

Don't worry, Captain had bath time with Daddy too! Matt washes him in the shower when he takes a shower. Yes, he showers with a dog sometimes!!

Three months old

Roman turned 3 months old on June 12th. Wow time flies!!! Here are some new stats:

He now weighs around 14 lbs.

He is wearing size 3-6 month clothing and a size 2 diaper and has recently been having accidents out of them. I tried the size 2-3 pampers and they are working better. Crazy!! He has a wide belly!!

He smiles and has done a little giggle a couple of times

He is sleeping 7 hours straight in the night. He goes to bed around 9 pm and still wakes up around 3-4 fussy. I know this is bad, but I put him in the swing and it soothes him back to sleep until around 6 am. Whatever works!!! All I know is that I'm not feeding him anymore in the middle of the night!!! Yeah!! So technically he's sleeping 9 hours in the night.
He bats at objects in his bouncy seat and toys that we put in front of him

He's getting better at tummy time and holding his head higher and higher

He is still nursing whenever I'm home, otherwise I give him a bottle of pumped milk when he goes to daycare or Matt watches him. He takes 6 ounces per bottle. We give him 6 feedings a day every three hours.

Finally, he rolled over today for the first time!! Matt went in to check on him in the middle of the night last night and he was on his belly! Matt got video of him today rolling over. My boy is getting so big!!

Here are some preview photos from his 3 month photo shoot yesterday:

Times are changing!

Last week was my last week home with Roman. I started work this week. I tried to capture our moments together and soak up my time with him. It was a really emotional time for me. We stayed really busy!! Last Monday, June 1st, was the last time that M, Roman, and I would just sit and hang out as a family during a week day. We loved these times!!! I can not think of any other place I would rather be than at home with M, Roman, and Captain.

My handsome little guy!

Daddy and his boys!!

My favorite guys in the world!!

Wednesday evening, we had league over at Tiffany's house. We tried many times to capture some pictures with the boys. Her twins are getting so much older!!! They are adorable!!

This went downhill really fast!
Thursday afternoon, Lindsey and Chloe invited us over to her sister-in-law's house to go swimming. This was Roman and Chloe's first time in the pool. We had such a great time!!!

I just love this guy!!!

And then June 8th came! My first day back to work!

M made me take a picture outside like he used to always do on his first day of school every year. So sentimental!!

Work has been going good so far. Roman stayed home with daddy on Monday. They had a great time. M went to play tennis for about an hour during the day, so Roman got to try his school out for a little bit. When I got home from work, the house was cleaned, laundry was done, and dinner was ready. I love my husband!! I worked from home on Tuesday and actually got a lot done in the middle of feeding Roman and playing with him! Then on Wednesday, I took him to daycare for the first full day. I left crying a little bit. I think it's going to be great for him. I can already tell that his teachers adore him. We're just all getting settled into this schedule. I think it's going to work out great! M is being so positive and helpful with me. I'm thankful to God for having a great job and wonderful family!!

Roman's past few days

Last week, one of my good friends from college, Anne Holt, came over with her son, William. He and Roman had the same due date, but he was actually born six weeks earlier than Roman. They had to have a photo shoot together!!

Captain loves his new brother. Matt and I found this during tummy time the other day and had to get a picture!! So sweet!!

Last weekend, we took a very short trip to Austin for our friends, Molly and Gum. They are expecting twin girls in August! Chip helped throw them a very fun baby shower! It was so good to see the Austin gang!!

Memorial Weekend

I met Matt at his lake house in Oklahoma for Memorial weekend. It was so fabulous to just relax and spend time with family. Matt's uncle and mom took care of Roman a couple of times so we could go on a boat ride together. We had a great time!

Morning time at the lake. So peaceful!

Me too buddy!! Just start sleeping through the night and we won't be so tired!!
