Roman's Birthday!!

Roman turned 1 year old on March 12th!! Meema was in town for his party and was there with me to wake him up that morning!

I made our big boy a pancake in the shape of a one for breakfast. He loved it! Silly mommy put fruit in it to try and be healthy and it got everywhere!!!

Roman got to try whole milk in a sippy cup for the first time and he did okay!!! I had to get a photo!

Later that day, daddy came home from his trip. We were so excited to see him!!!

Grandma and Pa came in town from Tulsa and we all went to Fishmongers (their favorite restaurant) that night! Then, late Friday night, Mark and Whitney drove in town with the triplets! They came for the big birthday party the next day. Overall Roman had a great day with his family!

Last day of being a baby!

Tomorrow my baby boy turns 1 year old! I simply can not believe it! This morning I was feeding him his little bottle and just taking a moment to cuddle with him. I said, "I love you Roman" and he stopped drinking his bottle, pulled it out of his mouth and blew me a kiss! Unbelievable! He actually did it twice. It's the little moments that are so special! I'm so in love with this little boy!! I almost cried my whole way to work thinking about how blessed we are!
Here's video of him blowing a kiss a few weeks ago...
Here are a few pics of the last days of Roman being my "baby"

We love the park!!

Last Friday, Roman and I met Lindsey and Chloe at the bounce house that morning. He loved watching the bigger kids bounce around.

After a long nap at home, Lindsey and Chloe came over for a wonderful afternoon at the park. We walked around the park and then had a little picnic. The kids loved running in the grass and snacking on crackers and fruit. Later they got to swing. It was such a perfect day!!!

I love walking with my little man

Roman enjoyed those crackers!
Poor Captain just sat and watched us. He was a good doggie!

Roman is so obsessed with leaves!

swinging is so much fun!!!

Friends in town!

Last Thursday, February 25th, our friends, Molly, Gum, and Chip came in town to stay the weekend with us. Molly and Gum brought their sweet baby twin girls. We had a great time just relaxing and hanging out. The boys let Molly and I go shopping and get our nails done while they watched the kids. What a treat! Several other friends came by throughout the weekend to see them and the babies.

The rolls have changed...

For some reason lately Captain loves playing with Roman's toys and Roman loves playing with Captain's! Matt went through some of Captain's toys and cleaned them so Roman could play with them. Oh boy!!! The rolls have changed!!! You definitely have to pick your battles and this is one battle that I give up!

Roman is enjoying his bone!

Captain is enjoying Roman's stuffed animal. Roman is playing with his "lovey". We try really hard to keep it from Captain!

What else could you want in life but a pink cell phone and a bone!!!???

Meema time

Meema came in town on February 18th to stay for the weekend while Matt and I attended our church couples retreat. The retreat was great except that Matt had to fly part of the weekend and only got to come to the Saturday afternoon part. Roman enjoyed his grandma being in town, though. We had a great time as a family. The only problem was that Roman got ANOTHER ear infection!! He was up all night on Friday night crying in pain. Poor baby!! We took him in to the doctor early Saturday morning and he got on another dose of antibiotics. Finally, the pediatrician refereed us to an ENT since he's had 4 infections in the past 4 months. After meeting with the ENT the following week, we have decided to get tubes in Roman's ears. I'm trying to decide on a good time to get the procedure done. I will probably have to have Meema or Pam, Roman's other grandma, come in town to help me because it will probably be during the week while Matt is flying. We need to do it soon because the day after Roman got off his antibiotics, he was tugging at his ear again and has been having crying spells again in the middle of the night. Poor baby!!!
