On Friday mornings we like to look out the window and watch the school bus come by and pick up the neighborhood kids. Roman and Captain get so excited!!

Smoothies!
One of Roman's favorite afternoon snacks is smoothies and crackers. Matt and I love smoothies too, so we make extra for the family. It's so healthy and so easy!
Easy Smoothie Recipe
Mix frozen fruit, milk, a squeeze of agave nectar, and a couple leaves of spinach. (You're little one will never know! I can't even taste the spinach. What a great way to add in nutrients! Thanks Monda's for the advise!)
Blend together in a magic bullet or small blender and you have the easiest smoothie ever! If you have yogurt, you can obviously add that too. Roman always eats the yogurt in our house so I don't have enough for his drinks.
20
Roman turned 20 months old last week! He's getting so big and learning every day! Here are some of his favorite things:
- Elmo! He loves watching Sesame Street and would watch it all day if he could. I usually only let him watch it while I'm getting ready for work and while I'm cooking dinner. He's in heaven
- Roman is saying two word sentences now! He says things like, "momma more", "more cracker", etc...
- Roman carries around 2 measuring cups everywhere he goes! He sleeps with them, eats with them, and even took one to school today. The other night, I couldn't get him to let them go, so I just let him go to sleep with the cups. I went to check on him an hour later and he still had a death grip on each measuring cup! I quietly removed them from his hands. Funny little guy!
- Roman can name all of the animals noises from snakes to owls, to even waddling like a penguin. He loves animals
- Roman loves his school! He now says, "Marni" for his teacher's name, Miss Marni. He talks about her a lot on the weekends. I love that he loves his teacher and friends!
- The other day I said, "one" and Roman followed with "two". We're starting to work on numbers.
- Roman knows the color blue! Except right now, everything is blue! We're working on it.
- Roman's favorite word is "no". We're trying to ignore and discipline at the necessary times. He's just trying to learn his environment!
We love you sweet boy! You are such a joy! We are so THANKFUL to be your parents! Here's Roman watching Elmo!
Bath time fun!
Have you ever used those washable bath crayons? Roman loves them. I had to briefly take them away after I noticed he wrote on my bathroom wall! We're still getting used to only writing in the tub. It makes for some great bath time fun!

Halloween
I know, I know, I'm probably a bad mom, but we did not take Roman trick or treating. Halloween is a fun holiday, but it's not extremely important to me. After going to Tulsa and not getting back until late Sunday evening, we were just too exhausted to dress him up and take him out. We did, however, hand out candy to the neighborhood kids. Roman enjoyed being in his jammies and watching the kids come to the front door for candy.
Roman's school had their fall festival the Friday before Halloween. Roman normally doesn't go to school on Fridays, but they let me take him. Batman (Roman) had a great time with his friends!

Last minute Tulsa trip!
We took a very last minute, short trip to Tulsa this weekend because Matt's brother, Mike, got engaged! We are so excited to have Meg as part of the family. We drove in early Saturday morning and left Sunday afternoon. It was worth the drive!
Mike and Meg helped the triplets carve pumpkins for Halloween while Roman was napping. Grandma helped too!
Mike is a great pumpkin carver!
Roman had a blast with his cousins as usual! They jumped on the trampoline lots!
Big cousin Will tried so hard to show Roman how to swing a baseball bat. Roman still needs a little practice...
The finished pumpkins!
Cousins!
They ate all of their meals at the kiddie table. It was great!
Pa's birthday was on the 28th of October, so we sang to him and celebrated
Uncle Mark's birthday is November 1st, so we all sang to him too! Who else would wear a Batman shirt because his son loves Batman?! What a true daddy!
After birthday cake, they all got to take a bath together! They had a blast!!!!
Pa played with Roman Sunday morning while Matt and I cooked breakfast for everyone. It was so cute!
The girls love Captain!!
There are so many blessings and things to celebrate in the Franks family right now! What a great weekend!
Picking up is so much fun!
Roman can finally walk around with his food and not throw it!
He knows if he accidentally drops the crackers or cereal and says, "Uh oh!"
Whew, he got it! Good job Roman! I love having a little cleaner!
