Advent calendar devotional

I made these ornament crafts with 23 other girls this year to compile a devotional for each day of the month of December. Roman is definitely a little too young, but we're still trying to teach him each night. He loves to put the ornaments on the tree after we read the bible together.

Lately

Meema came in town to watch Roman while mommy, daddy, and Carmen went to Atlanta for the day to look at houses. They had a great time together!

Carmen fell asleep at the mall in her stroller. It was too cute not to photograph!

5 months old

Little Miss Carmen turned 5 months on November 22nd. She's doing so great! We have a new nickname for our little sweetie: Miss Piggie! She snorts all the time and eats all the time! We love our little miss piggie so much!

• Carmen usually sleeps from 8:30pm to 8am. She's doing great. Once in a while, she'll wake in the night for some reason, but she usually does great!
• Carmen now eats cereal at breakfast and dinner with a vegetable at dinner too. She's a big eater!
• she mostly wears size 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers
• Carmen loves to laugh and smiles all the time. It's just so hard to capture her smiles on camera!
• Carmen is getting better at sitting up by herself. She still falls over a little.
• She's such a little flirt with daddy! It's so cute to watch her smile and then get bashful.
• Carmen is pretty easy going and chill if you keep her fed and give her plenty of small naps throughout the day.
• She still nurses 6 times a day and has a difficult time taking a bottle every day! We offer the bottle usually once a day and it's a battle.

Tulsa after Thanksgiving

We met Matt in Tulsa on Sunday after Thanksgiving. It was so great to see daddy again!! We all went to dinner at Charlestons with the family. We always got there it is always a great time! I asked the waiter to take a picture of the family and he did, but he completely cut off Whitney and Gracie!

So here they are!

We celebrated Grandma and Pa's birthday's on Monday afternoon before we left town.

It was a great, quick trip!

Thanksgiving in Springfield

We spent the week of Thanksgiving at my mom's house because Matt had to fly part of the week and on Thanksgiving day. We had a great week. Roman loved playing with his cousins!

Matt had off two of the days so he got to spend a little of time with the family. We missed him on Thanksgiving day!

We had a great week! We have SO much to be thankful for. God is so good!

Halloween

Superman and our little pumpkin enjoyed Halloween this year! We went to the fall festival at church the Wednesday before. Roman loved playing on the jumpy houses.

Halloween evening we decided to take Roman trick or treating for the first time. It was so cute! He finally got the hang of saying, "trick or treat" and then thanking the people for the candy. As soon as we would leave a house he would say, "I want more candy". Typical! We had a great time as a family.

4 months old

Our little cutie turned 4 months old on October 22nd.

Weight: 16 lbs 13 oz (off the charts!)

  Carmen now sleeps around 9-10 hours every night. She goes to bed around 10pm and sleeps until 8am. Awesome!

  She wears a size 3 diaper and mostly 6 month clothes with some 9 month

  Carmen loves to laugh and play.

  She loves her mommy. She won't let other people hold her if she hears mommy talking. Uh oh!

  She rolled over for the first time! She can roll from front to back and back to front.

  Carmen still nurses about 6 times a day and now has cereal in the mornings and evenings

  We tried giving her some carrots because the doctor said we could go ahead with baby food. She loved them!

  Carmen has been a very easy going baby. She still naps some in the swing and in her crib.
