30

On May 11th, I turned 30 years old. So strange to me that I've been around for 30 years! We celebrated with a few of my close friends for dinner at Meddlesome Moth the weekend before and then Matt bought me a watch that I've been wanting. On my actual birthday, Matt came home from a trip that afternoon and I left work a little early. Roman came in the house carrying flowers and a card and kept saying, 'happy momma, happy'. It was too cute! We all went out for Sushi dinner to not only celebrate my birthday, but also celebrate selling our condo! What a perfect day! Not to mention it also thunder stormed all afternoon. I LOVE a good storm!

Zoo time again!

Roman LOVED the zoo so much and pretty much talks about it every day that we decided to go back before it gets too hot here in Texas. We called the Longs last minute and asked them to join us. Because we went on a Friday, poor Corey had to work and make a lot of phone calls throughout the morning, but it still worked out great! The kids loved riding together in the double stroller!

Corey and Matt
Roman had a meltdown after we put his "monkey leash" on. He finally got over it. We have to use this leash because that boy is FAST!!!
Preggos!! Lindsey is 27 weeks pregnant and I'm 34 weeks.

Two little cuties!
The elephants were out today!
It's just like walking a dog, they get a little side tracked! Ha!
checking out the elephants
Chloe and Roman giving hugs!
Roman had to feed the giraffes again!

We all loved the lions!
What a perfect morning! We had such a great time at the zoo. It worked perfectly to pack a little lunch and enjoy a picnic. We all love the zoo!!!

We did it!!

We sold our condo!!!

What a complete miracle from GOD! I have not really mentioned the proposed sell to very many people because I didn't want to deal with it not going through. About a month ago, Matt got a call from a local Realtor saying that someone wants to buy our condo. We sluffed it off because (a) it wasn't even on the market and (b) it was just too good to be true! Supposedly a wealthy older lady wanted our unit because it was on the pool and had been remodeled. You can't even get a loan these days to buy one of the units in our building because it's not even 50% owner occupied. By the grace of God, this lady didn't need a loan, she wanted to pay cash. Not only that, she happened to want to buy it the month that the lease with our tenants was ending. She even agreed to take on the lease for them to stay until December of this year. She's going to be traveling in Europe a lot this summer. What a perfect situation for us, the tenants, and her! After days of price negotiations and going through the inspections and minor repairs, I can openly say that I just got a call from the title company and the money has been wired, papers have been signed, and the condo is sold!!! As my mom said, "We weren't even praying for this!" Praise GOD!! Now we can close another chapter in our lives and start to think about opening a new one...

Carmen's Sprinkle

The league girls threw me a little "sprinkle" instead of a shower for Carmen today. It was so great to meet them for lunch at Coal Vines on a random Tuesday. We enjoyed pizza together and then I opened the cutest gifts for Carmen. Girl stuff is so much fun!!! It was a great time! Thank you girls so much!!
Lindsey had these cute little cookies made with Carmen's initials. Love them!
Carmen is so fortunate to have so many great little aunties!!!

Letters!

Roman is in the process of learning the entire alphabet. I truly owe a lot of his knowledge to the Leap Frog Letter Factory video and to his bath letters. He loves to stay in the bath after the water has been drained and simply talk to his letters. He says things like, "no wa wa (W), here's tick tock (T)". Silly boy!
He's pretending to go night night in the bath! He loves to draw with those bath crayons too. Wow, what a little mess those are!

All BOY!

The latest activity:
Standing on the back of the couch and jumping off!
Oh so much fun!!!

Look at that messy shirt! He just enjoyed dinner in his messy shirt and diaper.
Whatever works!

Laughter!

There is nothing like a child's laughter!

This was us driving down Central and Roman was loving going under each overpass. He kept saying, "more, more"! So adorable!
