20 months?!
This cute little nugget turned 20 months old on February 22nd. She's such a diva! We love her to pieces! She has to have a bow in her hair and loves picking out her shoes. Daddy is the best person in the world and she copies everything that Roman does! She is already trying to be such a big girl by not wanting a sippy cup, but preferring to drink her water in a tea cup while holding it delicately with both hands. She loves music and dancing and even hums to her favorite songs in the car. Carmen will say random sentences still, but prefers to whine instead of saying actual words. We're working on talking every day! We love you, sweet precious girl, to the moon and back!
27 weeks
I'm now approaching the 3rd trimester. It's moving too fast!!! I'm still feeling pretty good, but tend to overdo it during the day with two other kids and then get pretty tired and achy at night. I really can't complain. I love feeling this boy move. He's pretty active now and has kicked his siblings already when I've been holding Carmen or Roman has been sitting on my lap. Sibling rivalry has already begun He gets the hiccups a lot and I love every minute of it! I keep trying to savor this pregnancy because it is probably my last. I want to remember the feeling of him moving and kicking. It's such a beautiful miracle! I read this from another friend and just thought it was so fitting. I've always wondered how my family would look one day. As a little girl, you dream of having your own family. I just can't believe that in a couple of months, our family will be complete. I am married to the love of my life and will have two boys with a girl in the middle. It's just perfect the way God wanted it to be! Can't wait!

Valentines 2013
Matt was actually here this year for Valentines day. We never do too much special, but I loved spending the whole day with my family. We all slept in until 8:30 and then went for donuts and coffee at my favorite local donut shop. It was great! Matt got me some tulips and a sweet card. Roman, Carmen, and I baked homemade sugar cookies from scratch. Carmen helped with the cookies and Roman helped make the pink icing and cut out the heart shapes. We ended the day at the park and then ordered pizza for dinner. It was fabulous! These are the simple days. I feel to blessed!
Mommy's big helper!
She kept eating straight sour cream. Yuck!
There's nothing like a mid-day dance party to spice up your day!
dress up time!
It's always dress up time at the Franks household! This time we even got the Halloween baskets out too!
Carmen came to me begging to put this on her. She is now iron girl!
They tried to help us hang Roman's letters above his closet door
Big brother kept helping his sister with her cape. So cute!
I just love my little cutie super heroes!
Daddy always wears his superhero t-shirts too!
Roman posed for the camera in his batman underwear with a fireman hat! Oh boy!
Other room changes
We've had many bedroom changes around here lately. We had to change my beloved main floor guest room to a playroom since we lost the playroom upstairs to Roman's new room. We still have another guest room in the basement with a little more space.
Our old guest room
Roman's new big boy captain america room.! I finally convinced Matt that we needed curtains in his room. It was a fun project!
The finished product! We're just missing his new quilt that I'm waiting to go on sale at pottery barn kids. Roman loves his new room. What three year old wouldn't?!
The captain america decal helps a lot! Roman is becoming such a big boy! He has slept in his big boy underwear for over three weeks now and has only had one accident! We're so proud of him!
Here are a couple pics of Carmen's room too.
Here's our room also. I had to combine two curtain rods to fit all the curtains behind our bed. I love window treatment. A bedroom just isn't complete with them!
Updated baby room
We've been working hard around here lately. I keep nagging Matt to help me finish this baby's room this month while I'm still feeling good and before my mom moves to Georgia because we will be helping her a ton after she moves. We finally are finished and I'm only 28 weeks today! Yay us!
The starting of painting stripes
Stripes are in many stages. We had to start with the white part first
Mommy is hard at work taping and measuring
The finished stripes!
Now time for the big boy bed to go so we can put a crib up. We had a very special big brother to help us!
Daddy and Roman worked so hard!
Having an extra mattress downstairs was so much fun!! Roman called it his trampoline!
Finished! Except we need to change out Carmen's glider with this rocking chair in a couple of months.
We painted Carmen's old changing table navy blue to flow better in baby's room
It's nice re-using all of the same stuff that Roman had. Keeps everything simple! Now all we need is our baby boy!

Nesting
I'm at it again! Most people say by the time they have their third baby, they don't give them a nursery or do much preparing. Not this girl! I'm such a planner! I made Matt help me paint stripes on his walls. We finished in two days! I also went through all the hand-me-down clothes and hung and organized everything. I just need Matt to paint the changing table and put together the crib and this baby could be here tomorrow. We're set!
Did I mention we can fit all three carseats in my car?! I was so nervous that we were going to have to buy a new car. So not in our budget!! All kids will fit in the old Lexus in a row and are probably going to kill each other, but we don't need a new car for now!!
We can't wait to meet our baby boy!
