6 months

Hudson turned 6 months old on November 9th.  It's so crazy how slow the first month went for us, but now time is really flying since we're having fun!

Here are his stats:

weight: 9lb 10oz (81%)
height: 28-3/4" (97%)
Head circ.: 18-1/4" (96%)

Hudson is a very big boy!  He doesn't look that big to me like our other babies because he's so tall.  The other's were thicker than he is.

Hudson is wearing a size three diaper, but should probably start wearing a four at night.  He's starting to leak through some.

Hudson wears mostly 9 month and 6-12 month clothes and some 12 month.  He has outgrown the 9 month jammies and can only fit in the 12 month.

Hudson nurses five times a day and has his 6oz bottle before bed.  Here's his typical schedule:
7:30 wake bottle
8am - breakfast with family(fruit)
9:30am - nap
10:30am - nurse
play
11:30am ish - lunch with family (veggie)
play
1:00pm - nurse
play
2pm - 4pm - nap
4pm - nurse
play
6pm - dinner with family (cereal with veggie or fruit)
7pm - bath with Roman and Carmen
7:30pm - bottle/nurse bed

I've been introducing more fruits and veggies and starting to make our own pureed food.  He eats blended banana a lot for breakfast and a half avocado for dinner some.  He likes most foods.  Hudson also tried a few small bites of my homemade bread the other day.  I can tell that he's really interested in finger food.  He loves to munch on his mum mum's while I'm fixing dinner or cleaning up the kitchen.  He's growing too fast!

Hudson loves songs and music and playing games like peekaboo.  He absolutely still loves Roman so much.  That boy can make him laugh anytime!  It's amazing how he already looks up to older boys!

He loves to be read to before nap time and hits the book the whole time.

Hudson is such a happy baby now.  He squeals all the time.  Nothing is better than when I come wake him in the morning or at nap time and he's smiling so big at me.  He knows it's time to eat!  I absolutely love his smiles!

Hudson rolls over in all directions and has tried to get on all fours.  I think he'll be crawling in the next month.  NO!!  He can really cover some ground with the rolling.  He's still not perfect at sitting up on his own.  He can do it for a few seconds and then falls over.  We need to work on that much more.  He loves his jumper too.  He can really jump high just like Roman used to do.

Hudson is squirmy and wiggly.  He's so active like Roman was.  I just know he's going to be a very active little boy.  It's so different that Carmen.

We love you Hudson so much!!  You were perfectly created and made by God and we are so fortunate to be chosen as your parents. We are trying to cherish these fast, early years.  Time is moving so fast!

Trees

Something that we didn't have much of in Dallas was the beautiful fall trees!! It is so amazing to see God's creation and beauty when I go on a morning jog that I just have to stop and take a photo. Love Georgia!!

Photo shoot

On our walk the other day, this little diva ran up to this bunny and said, "Daddy, take a picture of me!" Then posed like this...

She's too much! She viewed the pictures the rest of the way home. Who doesn't like a selfie?!

Baylor, group, pie

We were supposed to have our small group over last Thursday night and it was the Baylor/OU game too. Group ended up getting canceled around 3 that afternoon because not enough people could come. I was so bummed because I was making homemade apple pies from scratch for everyone. The dough was kind if hard to make. We were thrilled when the Tucker's and Clifford's decided to still come by and enjoy some pie and a little Baylor domination. What a fun evening with great friends!

My first homemade pie!

My big helper!

I just can't get over my sweet girl. She takes care of everyone. She always has to have lights on or off, doors shut, sets the table for everyone, and now puts the dishwasher soap in every morning for the evening load. I'm still not used to a girl. Roman would have never done this stuff at age two, or now for that matter!!

When I asked her if she wanted to feed Hudson part of a bottle, it was like Christmas morning excitement for her! Love this sweet girl so much!!!

Halloween

Halloween around here is no joke.  We had a blast as usual.  It was so fun to have Meema, Pa, and Grandma all here.  Meema handed out candy and Grandma walked around with us.  Roman and Carmen enjoyed every minute of trick or treating.

Roman and Aiden planned the power ranger costumes together.  Cohen came as Jake and Carmen was a princess.

Pa and Grandma visit

Pa and Grandma came in town to visit during Halloween.  It was so fun to have them here and the kids were beyond excited!  We surprised Roman at his school fall festival with them.  He didn't think they would be there until after his school was over.  He was so exited!  We had such a great time with them.  We went to the Mexican restaurant, Cinco, for dinner that night and then ice cream afterwards.  Thursday was spent around the house and shopping with Grandma and Roman.  Roman was beyond sad when they left on Friday morning.  He wants them to move here too. Bummer!
