Mini vacay!

Matt had a 30 hour layover in Gulf Port, Mississippi and asked me to come with him. It was so cool to actually meet him at the airport and have him fly me there and back. I felt kind of special!
We stayed at the Beau Rivage. We slept in, enjoyed a large breakfast, worked out, hung out by the pool, and had local seafood for dinner. I even won $10 gambling! Ha! I love Matt's job. It stinks that he travels, but he is not stressed and has good benefits!
My mom graciously stayed with the kids and I scheduled play dates for them. What a great mini vacay!

Roman's big decision!!!!!

Roman and Carmen went to vacation bible school last week at my mom's church.  It was a wonderful week of learning.  On Friday afternoon, Roman and I were on a date.  We needed some one on one time.  We were driving and he asked me about being a Christian.  He wanted to make sure that he goes to Heaven when he dies.  I tried to explain to him about how he can ask Jesus to live in his heart and that Jesus died on the cross to for his sins.  He said he believes and wanted to ask Jesus in his heart.  Later that night, we were reading in his bible and it just happened to be the story of Jesus dying on the cross.  Matt, Roman, and I got on our knees and had Roman pray to Jesus to forgive him of his sins.  He kept telling us the next day that he has the Holy Spirit living in him!  We are so proud of him.  My mom said that she had been praying all week for the Spirit to nudge Roman.  I can't wait to see what Jesus is going to do with our boy now that he is trusting his life to him.  He's going to go through a class at our church and learn more about getting baptized.  This is the biggest decision he will ever make in his life.  God is so good!  I truly believe that the angels in heaven are rejoicing over our sweet Roman!!!

big boy bed!

After we got back from the lake, Hudson started crawling out of his crib again.  He had started doing that back when he was 18 months old and we moved the mattress to the floor inside the crib.  Now, there was nothing to do, but put him in a big boy bed.  We were both so reluctant!  He's doing great!  The only problem is that I still have to lay with him to get him to fall asleep.  Oh well.  Time flies.  I literally got on my knees that first night he was asleep and thanked God that I am alive to see my baby grow up past baby-hood!

Roman got bunk beds and his sleigh queen bed went in the guest room downstairs. I painted these white bunk beds that I got from a neighborhood friend. It took all week to paint and wax!  I love the way they turned out!!

Livin on Tulsa time

We spent almost three weeks in Tulsa with Matt's family.  it was so great going back and forth from the lake to Tulsa.  The drive war horrible!  We left Georgia at 9pm and Matt drove all night.  I took a sleeping pill to sleep until he couldn't drive anymore.  Someone cried almost every thirty minutes.  Captain threw up early the next morning and Roman ended up throwing up too!  Good times!

Once we got to the lake, it was completely worth the drive!
We celebrated Father's day at the lake with Bill and the family

Lots of boat naps happened.  Matt also fell in the lake with our phones in his pocket.  Mine was toast, but his was still working.  Then Hudson threw his in the lake!  Little two year old!  We were "off the grid' for two days.  It was sort of refreshing!

We went into Tulsa the next week to celebrate Carmen's 4th birthday with the cousins.  We all had a blast!  The band announced Carmen and embarrassed her.  It was really cute and special for her!

We got to have breakfast with Grandma again before we headed back to the lake.

Lindsey and Corey drove in the next weekend!  We had a blast seeing them!!  It had been over a year!!

milling my own wheat for homemade biscuits

Nothing like the daily trip to high lift to get snacks

kisses from my baby

Evening boat ride to the pizza restaurant

There was lots of tubing and skiing!  Carmen skied a ton!  I skied almost every day.  It was a great work out!  Who says that three babies and cancer can hold you back!!!

Pam took the kids to Build a Bear in Tulsa.  They loved the experence.

Lee and I took the kids for lunch with Ashley Cross.  Hudson was going crazy with no real nap in days!

Lee graciously took my kids to the children's museum that day while I took Hudson back to nap

All the cousins met at the country club for swimming and pizza one night

Matt captured a picture of Hudson and mommy sleeping together

We shot tons of fireworks!!

Ready for our 13 hour drive!

We stopped in Little Rock to see my brother Rusty!

We had a fabulous time!  It was hard for all of us to go back home.  We love the lake and family time so much!  Feeling blessed!
